With 100 degrees outside, why not warm your belly even more with thisphenomenal Shrimp and Grits dish at “The Watch Rooftop Restaurant” in the heart of Historic Charleston.

Chef Chad Anderson and his crew makes you feel welcome and ensures you won’t leave hungry.

Best version of this low-country comfort food I ever had, and I tried my fair share after moving South years ago. Sweet, juicy local shrimp, creamy grits, even creamier bacon gravy and while priced at $27, more than enough for two to share.

Especially after the equally fab Hush Puppy appetizer with piemento cheese/red pepper jelly and before that so not tiny home-made ice-cream sampler.

Burgers were another hit, they are huge and any carnivore’s dream!

Last, but not least: The rooftop location at “The Restoration Hotel” is another plus: Great views and always smiling Marcie was the best host ever!

Absolutely #travelicious!
